Bio Dato’ Teo Yen Hua,71, was appointed the first Chief Executive Officer of the National Water Services Commission or Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN) on 1st February 2007 and held the post until 31st August 2014. Prior to that he served for over 32 years in the Malaysian Civil Service. His last position with the Civil Service was the Deputy Secretary-General for Energy and Water under the Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Malaya and a Master of Business Administration from New Hampshire College, USA. Currently he sits on the Board of Air Selangor, He also serves as an advisor to Informa Markets Malaysia for the Asiawater Conference and Exhibitions, a biannual international water event.Dato’ Teo Yen Hua

Bio Puan Izan Aziati Samsuri is the Senior Director of Licensing and Tariff Division in Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN). A graduate with Bachelor of Commerce and Management majoring in Accounting with to date, 8 years of experience in banking and 15 years of experience in water supply and sewerage services regulatory. In Jan 2008, she joined SPAN as a Senior Executive and gradually rose to the senior directorship ranks. As a water, sewerage and sanitation governance and regulatory professional, her knowledge includes assisting in the restructuring of water services industries, developing and drafting policies, regulatory framework, strategic action plans, tariff setting, business plans reviews and simplifying the licenses and permit application processes via online system. She was also involved in sharing sessions with various stakeholders specifically on economic regulatory requirements under the Water Services Industry Act and its subsidiary legislations.(SPAN): Financial Sustainability of Malaysia’s Water Services Industry

Bio Kavita Sachwani, is a Chartered Accountant by qualification, public policy, sustainable finance specialist by profession and a travel enthusiast by passion, with over two decades of experience spanning policy advocacy and program management in financial services, financial inclusion, public health, water resources management and climate/sustainable finance. Kavita is part of the global implementation team at the United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative where she works with member banks on shaping, embedding and mainstreaming Principles of Responsible Banking. Prior to UNEP FI she was part of the leadership team at 2030 Water Resources Group, a Multistakeholder Platform hosted by the World Bank Group, towards creating the wider political economy conditions and momentum for change in water reform. Her focus is on building multistakeholder platforms to mobilize the private sector, government, civil society, bilateral agencies, development banks and water and financial services regulators to work collectively in accelerating progress towards ensuring water security, strengthening climate resilience, building a circular water economy, catalyzing disruptive technologies and mobilizing innovative financing for the water sector. She has worked in Financial Inclusion, Public Health, Health Insurance, and the Banking and Financial Services sector with the HDFC Group, FINO, CRISIL and others in India. She is also a Working Group Member with The Nature Conservancy for developing a Framework for Payment for Ecosystem Services for India. She was a member of the Climate Resilience Academy for Loss and Damage for LDCs (CRAL-2), set up by the International Centre for Climate Change and Development and the Global Resilience Leveraging The Principles of Responsible Banking to Accelerate Action on Water

Bio Encik Rozaifee Abu Zaharim merupakan Ketua Bahagian Kewangan dan Perbendaharaan di PAAB. Beliau menyertai PAAB pada April 2017 dan beliau bertanggungjawab dalam mengendalikan aspek Perakaunan, Perbendaharaan dan Kewangan Korporat di PAAB. Sebelum menyertai PAAB, Encik Rozaifee adalah Ketua, Kewangan (bahagian Operasi) di UEM Edgenta Berhad. Beliau mempunyai pelbagai pengalaman dalam bidang Kewangan dan Perbendaharaan selama 20 tahun berkhidmat dengan Kumpulan UEM. Ia merangkumi segmen perniagaan seperti Konsesi Lebuhraya, Pembinaan serta Pengurusan Aset dan Fasiliti. Beliau jugamempunyai pengalaman dalam tugasan di luar negara di mana beliau pernah menjadi Ketua Kewangan untuk salah satu anak syarikat Kumpulan UEM di India. Bio With over 25 years of experience, William has notable management consulting experience for the public sector and private sector. He spent over 12 years in a Big 4 accounting firm and in the advisory division. He has over 18 years of management consulting experience. He focuses on Strategy & Economics and covers broad areas of industry and sectors. In 2016, he started his own consulting firm. He is the Principal and co-founder STRAT369 Consulting Sdn. Bhd. (www.strat369.com.my) In the public sector front, he led various economic and regulatory reforms and PPP advisory. The projects that had profound impact on him were his involvement in the transformation of Water Services Industry for Malaysia that started in 2002. He is still actively consulting in the water sector and much of his work is helping the water operators in capacity development in the areas of business and strategic planning and financial assessment and financial modelling.
